SODUS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Texas woman charged in the murder of her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend in Sodus last October has been sentenced to 20 years for manslaughter and eight years for criminal possession of a firearm.

Charlene Childers, along with her current husband, Timothy Dean, were arrested last year, weeks after deputies say Dean opened fire on Joshua Niles and Amber Washburn. They say the motive appears to be a custody battle between Childers and Niles.
