FABIUS, NY (WSYR-TV) – Travis Drexler proposed to his now fiancée Allie Randall by carving the words “Allie will you marry me?” into a corn field.
The couple met one year ago at her brother’s party.
“We grew up 3 miles apart and never knew each other, my mother found Travis at the party, walked up to him and said ‘are you single?'” said Randall.
“I don’t even know why I was caught up in her from day one. It was just like I spent four months trying to get a first date and from there it just clicked,” said Drexler.
“Within two weeks, I told my mom the biggest thank you I’ve ever given her, because that was the man I was going to marry some day,” said Randall.
Travis says he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Allie back in January.
“I got to thinking about her and the corn maze and I just thought ‘why not do “Allie will you marry me?”‘” said Drexler.
Travis had the entire maze mapped out on graph paper, using the rows of corn as a guide.
“I think I had to read it about 5 or 6 times before I realized ‘holy cow! I’m the Allie that’s in that picture,'” said Randall.
Allie and Travis have not set a wedding date yet. If you want to get lost in this maze, you’ll be able to this fall at Springside Farm in Fabius.
