Cuts announced at Kraft-Heinz

Local News

Cuts have been announced at the recently merged Kraft-Heinz company, but it appears on the surface that the Kraft plant in Lowville will see little impact, if any at all.

The company announced 2500 jobs would be cuts in the coming months with 700 cuts coming from the company’s headquarters in Illinois.

The good news locally is that the company says none of the cuts involve factory workers, which make up a large majority of the Lowville jobs.

The cuts that will be taking place involve salaried workers.
