Dunkin’ Donuts and Make-A-Wish® Central New York to celebrate World Wish Day

Dunkin’ Donuts today annonced it will partner with Make-A-Wish Central New York for the third year to celebrate World Wish Day, the day the organization was founded, and to help make the wishes of local children come true.

From Tuesday, April 29th though Wednesday, May 7th, guests who contribute $1 to Make-A-Wish Central New York at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Central New York will receive a Make-A-Wish Star Donut. All donations will benefit Make-A-Wish Central New York. Over the past two years, the campaign has raised over $70,000 for the local chapter. 

“Dunkin’ Donuts is honored to support Make-A-Wish Central New York, which works tirelessly to help make the wishes of local children come true,” said Eric Stensland, field marketing manager for Dunkin’ Donuts. “I encourage Central New York residents to enjoy a special treat while supporting an organization that is so important to our community.

The star-shaped specialty donut, which is topped with blue and white icing in honor of Make-A-Wish, will be avalible at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Central New York beginning on April 29th, World Wish Day.

“The wishes granted though this campaign will bring hope, strength and joy to local children with life-threatening medical conditions,” said Diane Kuppermann, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Central New York. “We encourage Central New York residents to visit Dunkin’ Donuts and enjoy a Star Donut while helping us reach every eligible wish child in the region.”

Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 who are living with  life-theatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Central New york has granted nearly 1,500 wishes since its inception. Make-A-Wish continues to “bring that magic of a wish” to special Central New York kids because of the generous support of the Central New York community throughout the 15-county region it serves. The countries being serves are Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
