The City of Watertown received some good news regarding the Factory St. Project Wednesday. Bids for the reconstruction project were unsealed at City Hall with the lowest bid coming in $1.7 million below what had been expected. The apparent low bid belonged to CCI Companies Inc. of Canastota, which submitted an estimate of $8.8 million. The Watertown City Council needs to approve the low bid in order for work to begin. It’s expected that work on rebuilding that section of the city could take two construction seasons and wrap up towards the end of 2016.
