It was delayed at its start and there will be a delay to get it finished.

The Factory Street reconstruction project that has created major headaches along one of Watertown’s main traffic arteries is now expected to wrap up in spring of 2017.

With a price tag of over $11 million, the plan to overhaul the street inside and out was initially set to start in spring of 2015, but it didn’t get going until late last summer.

Because of that push back, officials say a final layer of asphalt won’t be laid until likely next March.
