Faculty/ Student Assoc. Held First Ever Fashion Show at Jefferson Community College
The Faculty Student Association of Jefferson Community College held a fashion show on Friday, April 3, 2015 to showcase new apparel set to debut in the JCC Bookstore next fall. Attendees also had the opportunity to rate new apparel styles under consideration by the Bookstore. The fashion show took place at 1:30 p.m. in the Sturtz Theater, McVean Student Center (Bldg. 4).
The show, organized by the FSA’s bookstore and marketing department, was a collaborative effort that has brought together JCC students, staff and administrators who have volunteered their time and talents to the fashion show. Jefferson president Carole A. McCoy will strut her stuff alongside 40 student models as they showcase items from retailers such as Champion, Under Armour and Nike.
The Faculty Student Association (FSA) is a not-for-profit organization that provides ancillary services in support of the mission of Jefferson Community College. In addition to bookstore operations, FSA provides childcare and food services, and is a partner in the College’s residence hall initiative.
“We always aim to be responsive to the ever-changing needs of our growing campus community,” said Dana Willbanks, marketing manager for FSA. ”The fashion show is designed to be a fun opportunity for our customers to share their opinions on what products they’d like to see in the bookstore.”
