A former 10th Mountain Division Commander has been nominated to be the top military commander of the Army. General Mark Milley was nominated on Thursday to be the next Army Chief of Staff. Milley had several stints at Drum, including commanding the 10th from 2011-2012. He was also the commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team from 2003-2005. Milley currently serves as U.S. Army Forces Command at Fort Brag, NC. If confirmed by the Senate, he would replace the retiring Gen. Ray Odierno.
