This year’s brutal winter weather and subsequent thaw this week has claimed a historical part of Henderson. The former Scott’s Garage in the town collapsed early Wednesday morning as a result of the weight of heavy snow on top of the structure. Firefighters were called to the scene just after 6 am on Route 178. The collapse of the building had also brought down some nearby power lines. The building had been vacant since the garage closed for good back on Halloween night in 2004. Scott’s Garage was was staple in the Henderson community since it first opened it’s doors in 1949.
