Soldiers from Fort Drum are now among the thousands of people helping in the aftermath of record flooding in Texas.

Officials announced about 20 members of the 510 Human Resources Platoon deployed to the area Wednesday to support “relief efforts to assist those affected by Hurricane Harvey.”

Col. Shawn Schuldt of the 10th Sustainment Brigade Commander called the soldiers “some of our best” who are “honored to be able to do their part.”
