After months on the run, police in St. Lawrence County finally caught up to an “armed and dangerous” fugitive who had been on the lam since August.
Forty-six-year-old Christopher Molella was arrested at a Hopkinton home without incident Monday.
But that was only after an earlier search of Molella’s residence allegedly found a gun that was rigged to go off when someone opened the front entrance.
No one was hurt during that search and Molella was taken in at the other residence.
He has been charged reckless endangerment, criminal possession of marijuana and several counts of criminal possession of a weapon and will likely face more charges.
Molella is in jail, held on $50,000 bail.
