A big change could be coming to the way teachers throughout New York are graded on their job performance.

Governor Andrew Cuomo told the Buffalo News that the teachers should be evaluated by their own school districts.

Previously, the Governor was an advocate of the state judging their work, which created issues.

If the districts are to get more of a role, it would first have to be approved by state lawmakers before Cuomo could sign off on the change.
