Hate potholes? Then try to avoid these roads in Watertown

Local News

If your commute around the city of Watertown has seemed bumpier than usual this winter season, you’re probably right. A city official told the Watertown Daily Times that potholes on streets and roads have been more of a problem this year compared to the previous two winters.

Drastic temperature change, like going from well below zero to above freezing on a day-to-day basis, is likely a main reason the area’s roadways have cratered over the last couple of months. And while crews have been attempting to fix up the issues, you might want to steer clear of Mill, LeRay and South Massey streets, as well as Gaffney Drive until we hit more consistent warmer temps at some point in the spring.
