High waters of the St. Lawrence River are eating away at the boardwalk area in Ogdensburg.

The Watertown Daily Times reports that city officials are “keeping a close eye” on the roughly 500-foot-long stretch of cement and pavement that runs along the River near the Dobisky Center.

A reported 25 to 30 feet of the area has already been identified as needing repairs.

In fact, according to the Times, the city boardwalk is still off limits until a full inspection can be conducted.
