Investigators still looking into the cause of a fire to a residence on Clay St. in the City of Watertown Sunday evening that may have been intentionally set. The fire was reported at round 5 pm at 318-320 Clay. The initial reports from emergency dispatch stated that someone in the building called 911 to report that they were considering doing harm to themselves and had set the fire. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the first floor of the 320 side of the building. A female who had escaped the burning apartment through a bathroom window was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment. The fire was quickly contained and there were no other tenants home when the fire broke out. No other injuries were reported. Investigators have determined the fire began in the living room of the lower apartment at 320 Clay. Other tenants of the building were displaced temporarily due to the fire. The cause is officially listed as undetermined until authorities can interview the woman at the hospital.
