Jefferson Community College will be putting some additional state funding to good use. The recently passed spending plan from Albany will include capital aid of $4.35 million for the local college. Officials say that money will be put toward the construction of the new Collaborative Learning Center which will be built across from the new East Hall housing complex on campus. The building will house the college’s library as well as other education services. Officials hope construction will begin within the next month.
