A Jefferson County man admits to stealing about $60,000 over a three-year period from the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

Fifty-two-year-old David Gosier, of LaFargeville, admitted pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny, second-degree falsifying business records and official misconduct Friday.

Gosier worked at Wellesley Island State Park, where he admitted to stealing money that was given to him for boat rentals and dock fees from April of 2012 to May of 2015.

Gosier is due to be sentenced to five years of probation and will have to pay back all of the money he took.
