Jreck owner accused of hiding assets before sentencing

Local News

The owner of the Jreck Subs franchise was arrested late last week, accused of attempting to conceal his assets before his scheduled sentencing on separate federal charges.

According to syracuse.com, police claim 47-year-old Christopher Swartz violated his bail by trying to cover up the assets.

Last fall, Swartz admitted to scheming about $9.5 million from investors over a 10-year period.

For that, Swartz is looking at potentially two decades behing bars with the potential for even more time if he is convicted on the new charges.

While Swartz controls the Jreck franchise, the local shops are separately owned and operated.
