Lowville Man Charged After Disturbance

A 22-year-old Lowville man is facing charges following a disturbance in the Village of Lowville. Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies report that David Gerdon III was heavily intoxicated & became involved in a dispute with a male, allegedly spitting gum & throwing beer in the victim’s face.

When Deputies arrived on the scene, Gerdon allegedly confronted them in a threatening & violent manner. After being advised he was under arrest, Gerdon allegedly resisted arrest & began fighting with the Deputies. He was arraigned in Village of Lowville Court on 2 counts of disorderly conduct, 1 count each of harassment 2nd degree & resisting arrest. Gerdon was remanded to the Lewis County Jail in lieu of cash bail.
