A major developer here in the North Country is denying any wrong doing when it comes a scandal that has ties to the Governor’s office.
COR Development group has built a number of projects and is behind the redevelopment of the former Mercy Hospital site in Watertown.
But a federal investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo’s development projects upstate shows that one of his former aides received somewhere between $50,000 and $75,000 in income from COR.
The paperwork shows the aide was paid by COR for “consulting fees.”
Officials for COR say the aide was never paid by them and that they intend to “fully cooperate with any investigation into this matter.”
