A Lorraine woman who was the focus of a social media blitz to find her after she was reported missing has been found safe. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday afternoon sent out a bulletin reporting 53 year old Linda Ann Widrick as missing as of Monday morning. Before the bulletin, she had been last seen leaving the Watertown Savings Bank on State St. at around 10 am. The bulletin went viral Tuesday afternoon with thousands of people sharing the information on their individual Facebook pages. Several hours later, the search was called off after Widrick was located in the Village of Adams by police. Authorities say she was unharmed and no criminal activity had occurred. It’s unknown where she was during the 24 hour plus time period or the reason she didn’t return home Monday.
