New Year means new minimum wage in New York

Local News

We are three days into 2017 and a few days into New York’s new minimum wage costs.

In New York City, the wage is now at $11-an-hour, and for the majority of the rest of the state, including here in the North Country, the rate is now $9.70-an-hour.

In order to make sure businesses are following through with the new minimum wages, the state has setup a hotline for workers to call if their employers aren’t in compliance.
