NEW YORK, (18 NEWS) – The New York State Agriculture Commission and the Christmas Tree Farmers Association of New York have set up a tree-farm locator to help you find tree farms near you.

Agriculture Commissioner Richard Ball encourages residents to support local tree growers this holiday season by buying trees from these farms.

There are about 875 tree farms in Upstate New York. Roughly 300,000 trees sold each year. The Association said these sales amount to a total of $8 million for tree farmers.

You can use the association’s tree-farm locator to find other tree farms near you and across New York. The locator requires a zip code and the distance can be manually set.
