NY Attorney General investigating makers of EpiPen

The makers of the EpiPen have caught the attention of New York’s Attorney General.

On Tuesday, AG Eric Schneiderman said is office is investigating Mylan Pharmaceuticals due to the high cost of the emergency allergy treatment.

EpiPens, which are used to quickly treat severe allergic reactions, now cost over $600, a price that has ballooned by 500 percent in the last nine years.

The company does have plans to offer a cheaper alternative in the future.
