Officials to hold public events next week to discuss ‘Hunger Games’ state grant

For three days next three days next week, the community will have a chance to help spend Watertown’s $10 million state grant.


The so-called “Hunger Games” funds are to be earmarked only for downtown projects, and officials plan to hold three events at the Empsall Building on Court Street.
 
Next Tuesday, there will be a “Walk and Talk” tour with a movie at 7 p.m. The following night, Wednesday, there will be an open house, and that Thursday a “Public Design Review” is scheduled.
 
The state has given Watertown a March deadline to finalize all plans for the money.
