The possibility of a new Dairy Queen in the Watertown area cleared another hurdle earlier this week. The Jefferson County Planning Board gave it’s approval Tuesday for the construction of a sit down eatery off of Rt. 11 in the Town of LeRay. The decision gives the Town Planning Board authority over the project. The plan is to build a 2600 square foot restaurant in an area close the main gate of Ft. Drum. The developer in charge of the project hopes to have ground broken by sometime next month if final approval is given.
