Every day as we count down to the 87th Academy Awards I will take a look at one of the films that has been nominated. 20 days remain until the Oscars air on ABC50 so today I watched The Imitation Game.

The Imitation Game has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture, Director, Film Editing, Original Score, Production Design, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Benedict Cumberbatch has been nominated for Best Actor in a leading role and Keira Knightly was nominated for Best Actress in a supporting role.

The film follows mathematician Alan Turing as he works with a group of several other elite mathematicians attempting to crack the enigma code and help the Allies win World War II. Benedict Cumberbatch dose a phenomenal job throughout the movie and although this role is much like Sherlock he still finds a way to bring something unique to the part. I highly recommend this film and I would be amazed if it doesn’t take home an Oscar or two.

There is only one way to know who will win what, tune in on Sunday, February 22nd at 7pm to ABC50 and watch Neil Patrick Harris host the 87th Academy Awards.
