An Oswego County teacher accused of throwing a second grader earlier this month was in court to answer to charges this week.
Police say 31-year-old Sean Fitzgerald threw a disruptive student over a counter approximately three to four feet high at the Minetto elementary School.
As a result, Fitzgerald has been charged with second-degree harassment.
He pleaded not guilty while appearing in court Wednesday, where about 20 of his supporters were in attendance.
Fitzgerald has been placed on administrative leave while the Oswego County School District reviews the matter.
