Over eighty bags of heroin were recovered and four people arrested following a drug raid Tuesday afternoon in the City of Watertown. Details of the raid were released Wednesday morning by the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force. Authorities say the raid was the end result of an undercover investigation that began several months ago. Search warrants for 521 Franklin St., Apt. 2 were executed at around 5 pm. Along with the 85 bags of heroin, police also seized $3500 in cash, numerous drug packing materials, and needles. Charged were 23 year old David Turner and 25 year old Natasha Hayes, who lived in the apartment. Also arrested were 26 year old Steven Aponte and 32 year old Adam Nunez, both of Manhattan. A seven year old child was also in the apartment. That child is currently in the custody of protective services. Aponte is being held on $25,000 bail, Turner and Hayes on $20,000, and Nunez without bail. Additional charges are pending.
