A Watertown man is accused of “using a hammer and two screwdrivers” to break into the American Legion on Sterling Street.
Police say 56-year-old Terry Gebo damaged two windows while attempting to gain entrance into the Legion at about 3:11 Thursday morning.
Once inside, Gebo allegedly busted an ATM and alarm box causing $1,000 in damage, and he also is said to have stole $20 from a wooden lock box he broke.
Gebo is charged with felony third-degree burglary, felony criminal mischief, petit larceny and possession of burglar tools.
He was taken to jail before being arraigned in City Court.
