Potsdam company purchased for $3.5 million

A Potsdam company that designs fingerprint technology has been bought by a Swedish business.

According to 7 News, NexID Biometrics was recently purchased for $3.5 million.

NexID is based out of Clarkson University, where it develops fingerprint molds to help with software security.

The company’s CEO tells 7 News that he hopes to use the new financial backing as a way to help grow the business and to develop more products.
