Marks Farms just outside of Lowville was the scene of yet another rally held for migrant workers, this time for two former employees who one organization says were unfairly fired from their jobs.
Migrant workers and their supporters also delivered a petition with about a thousand signatures to the owners of the farm.
The rally was held to bring attention to the story of two former workers who were allegedly fired after meeting with an advocacy group in September that deals with migrant worker issues.
This is the second rally to be held at the Martinsburg farm this year.
A similar one was held after a worker was allegedly assaulted by a farm supervisor.
The Workers’ Center of Central New York was the organizer of Monday’s rally.
