Jefferson Community College (JCC) Workforce Development and Business Division (WDBD), through a grant from the New York State Department of Labor, is offering FREE retail job training September 10 through September 28, 2018. Training will cover areas of retail sales, food service, and hotels and hospitality. Classes will meet on JCC’s campus Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Transportation and childcare assistance are available.
Anyone thinking about pursuing an entry-level position in the retail industry, or those who have retail experience and would like to advance their skills, are encouraged to apply. Upon completion, participants will earn industry recognized credentials from the National Retail Federation (NRF). The NRF sponsors the Rise Up program, which is supported by Walmart, Kohl’s, Lowes, the Home Depot, Target, and Tractor Supply Company, among others. Transportation and childcare assistance is provided, as necessary.
