The manslaughter trial of Brenda Roth in Lewis County Court was postponed Tuesday due to weather.

The judge in the matter, who is also acting as jury, was unable to make the trek from central New York to Lowville.

Roth is standing trial, accused of giving 15-year-old Derrick Holton the prescription drugs that led to his overdose death and of not calling for help quickly enough to save him at her Deer River home.

She is facing second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charges.
