A week after a Jefferson County man was gunned down inside his home, police continue to search for the killers.
It was last Thursday morning, sometime around 1 a.m., when two people entered a home on State Route 37 in the town of Pamelia and shot 20-year-old Tyler Johnson. According to the Watertown Daily Times, a woman inside was not shot and was able to call 911.
Johnson was eventually airlifted to a Syracuse hospital where he later died a couple of hours later.
Police are looking for anyone who might have been approached by someone looking for a ride in the area at the time. And a vehicle in question was last spotted on Coutny Route 16 heading east toward Evans Mills.
Meanwhile, Johnson was set to be buried at Brookside Cemetery in Watertown yesterday.
