A portion of Watertown was shutdown Friday night after police received a call of “shots fired.”

The incident happened around the 800 block of Academy Street, causing police to block off that road and nearby South Rutland for over two hours.

Police eventually took four men who were found in a house off of Academy in for questioning.

Although law enforcement hasn’t released any information on them and their connection to the case.

A report from Watertown Police Detective Lieutenant Joe Donoghue last Saturday morning does indicated that a Watertown resident showed up at a Syracuse hospital Friday night with a gunshot wound to his foot.

The investigation is continuing.
