A Syracuse man has pleaded guilty to a home invasion robbery that occurred back in 2013 in the Village of Carthage. Just as the trial was scheduled to get underway Monday for 22 year old Steven Guindy, he pleaded guilty in Jefferson County Court to a charge of first degree robbery. Guindy and four other men were accused of breaking into the South Mechanic St. home of Jude Astafan in October 2013, stealing cash and other items. He faces up to ten years in prison when sentenced April 7.
