A Syracuse man accused of killing a Lewis County native last summer has been indicted on various counts connected to the crime. A grand jury in Onondaga County this week indicted 30 year old David Davis on charges of second degree manslaughter, strangulation, and endangering the welfare of a child. Davis is accused of causing the death of 36 year old Dale Schantz, formerly of Naumberg, during an argument that occurred back on August 19 inside a Syracuse home. If convicted of the manslaughter count, Davis faces a maximum of 15 years in state prison.
