A popular Irish-themed restaurant in the neighborhood known as “Tippery Hill” in Syracuse is continuing to sell its new St. Patrick’s Day t-shirts.

Coleman’s Authentic Irish Pub’s shirts this year feature the following: “Mom, Dad…I’m Gaelic.” It also has a rainbow, pot of gold and the eatery’s logo.

According to syracuse.com, LGBTQ activists claim the shirts marginalized groups of people in an attempt at humor.

Coleman’s released a statement, explaining that the annual t-shirts are always meant to be tounge-in-cheek and “that’s the problem with humor–what some people can laugh about, other people find offensive.”

The shirts remain available for $18 at the restaurant in Syracuse.
