Murder victim Shawndell Anderson was assaulted twice at a party in Watertown the day died according to testimony during a preliminary hearing in the case of Christopher Swem, who’s charged with second-degree murder in Anderson’s death.
Swem is accused of stabbing the 30 year old Anderson several times in the torso with a sharp instrument. The witness saw Swem punching Anderson in the chest & saw another person hit Anderson in the back with a pool cue during that same party, adding that she saw blood on Anderson’s chest when he walked out of the house. Anderson later died at Samaritan Medical Center. During the hearing, a city police officer testified that he found Swem’s clothing in a trash can. A third witness, a state trooper, said Swem was found in a Syracuse hotel and was taken into custody. The case will now go before a grand jury.
