Three St. Lawrence University students are facing drug counts after authorities found several suspicious packages in the mailroom of the campus’ Student Center. Canton Village Police say a further inspection of the packages revealed a tar like substance which was later revealed to be “concentrated cannabis”, referred in the streets as “wax”. Police allege plans to sell the drugs. Charged with fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance were 22 year old Liam Ward and 21 year old Carl Stewart, both of Saranac Lake, as well as 23 year old John Lesofsky of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. Lesofsky was also charged with fifth degree conspiracy.
