Using a machete to damage a neighbor’s home led to a criminal charge for a Watertown man. It also led to one of his dogs being tased by an officer.

Watertown Police say they were called to 39-year-old Barry McCready Jr’s home on North Orchard Street because McCready allegedly used a machete to break a neighbor’s window at about 2 a.m. Friday.

While on scene, McCready’s “vicious” dogs created a situation requiring one to be tased and the other to be kicked on the backside. The two animals were unharmed in the incident.

McCready, meanwhile, was charged and taken to jail on $5,000 bail.
