Watertown native died of heat exhaustion

A Watertown area native who collapsed while training last week with the Vermont State Police died as a result of heat exhaustion.

That’s according to a ruling made by a medical examiner, which was released Monday by Vermont officials.

Funeral services for 28 year old Kyle Young, a 2005 graduate of General Brown Central School, will be held this week. T

hose services will mean some traffic changes here in the City of Watertown near the Cummings Funeral Home.

Police say from 2pm to 8pm today, traffic will be restricted along the 200 block of Sterling St and 300 block of Gotham St.

On Wednesday, traffic will be restricted from the city hall parking lot on Sterling St. east to the Franklin and Clay St. intersection from 11:30 am to about 1 pm for the funeral procession.
