GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – Opening day of the New York State Fair is just about two weeks away, and the Your Stories team is getting a lot of questions about what to do with last year’s tickets.

Some Fairgoers were upset last year after buying either full price or advance sale discounted tickets– the Fair offered so many deals last year, that most people were able to get in for a price lower than what they paid for the tickets.

Acting Fair Director Troy Waffner says any tickets purchased from the 2017 Fair will still be valid and accepted at the gates in 2018.

You can start using those tickets Wednesday, Aug. 22 on the first day of the Fair.
