(WIVB) – A Bolivar man was charged Monday with driving while under the influence of drugs with a child in the car on Monday after state police say he was found unresponsive behind the wheel of his vehicle, which was in gear and running.
Chad D. Griswold, 36, of Bolivar, was charged with aggravated DWI with a child in the vehicle, driving while ability impaired by drugs, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
According to state police reports, troopers found a vehicle stopped in the roadway on State Route 19 in the Town of Scio on Monday and found Griswold unresponsive inside with a child and small quantities of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Police say Griswold was revived with Naloxone at the scene and then transported to Jones Memorial Hospital before being arrested.
He was released on appearance tickets.
