NY woman charged with DWI after collision with school bus

ALDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Lancaster woman has been charged with DWI after the Erie County Sheriff’s Office says she collided with a school bus on Tuesday. 

Jennifer Sears, 25, was arrested around 3 p.m. Tuesday after deputies responded to Sandridge Road in the Town of Alden for reports of a vehicle colliding with an Alden Central School District bus. 

According to sheriff’s reports, Sears registered a BAC level of more than three times the legal limit. She was later released to a sober third party with appearance tickets.

Five students were on the bus at the time of the crash, and no injuries were reported.
