Woman killed in Syracuse shooting, boyfriend arrested

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – Police have arrested a man after his girlfriend was found shot and killed at the home she shared with her four-year-old daughter.

Officers were called to Village Drive, near Edtim Road just before 5 p.m. on Sunday.

When they arrived, they found Sarah Tombs, 22, had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tombs lived at the home with her four-year-old daughter and her boyfriend, 24 year-old Darien Shellman. Police say her daughter was not harmed.

After investigating, police arrested Shellman, charging him with Manslaughter in the Second Degree.
