A Western New York Congressman has decided to climb on the Donald Trump bandwagon before Super Tuesday after he announced his endorsement of Trump.
The last days leading up to next Tuesday’s 11 presidential primaries could be crucial for GOP candidates Marco Rubio to de-rail frontrunner Trump.
Congressman Chris Collins, from the Buffalo suburb of Clarence, is a “mainstream Republican,” and this week became the first sitting member of Congress to formally put their name behind the billionaire’s bid for the White House.
Collins told the Buffalo News that Trump has “the guts and the fortitude,” to take on America’s enemies, restore jobs and re-establish the American Dream.
He previously endorsed Jeb Bush before he ended his campaign last weekend.
Collins represents the 27th District in Western New York.
