BUFFALO,NY (WIVB) – The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday that they have released wide receivers Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes.

The Bills traded a third and seventh round picks to the Carolina Panthers for Benjamin at the 2017 trade deadline. Benjamin’s time with the Bills didn’t meet expectations.

Andre Holmes played in 26 games for the Bills over the last two seasons with 25 receptions for 277 yards and three touchdowns.  He primarily served as a special teams player.

In other Bills moves today, center Russell Bodine was placed on injured reserve after suffering a broken fibula in Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

The Bills also announced that they have signed cornerback Denzel Rice and defensive end Mike Love from the practice squad to the active roster.

The Bills host the New York Jets at New Era Field Sunday afternoon.
