SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse lost 75-65 to No. 1 Duke at the Carrier Dome on Saturday night in front of a record-breaking crowd.

Tyus Battle led the Orange in scoring with 16 points. Marek Dolezaj chipped in 10 points off the bench including an emphatic one-handed slam in the first half.

Duke forward RJ Barrett scored 30 points on an efficient 14-of-20 shooting night. Guard Alex O’Connell knocked down five 3-pointers for the Blue Devils.

35,642 set the new NCAA college basketball on-campus attendance record previously set when 35,446 fans filled the Dome in 2015.
